Our boats use 2 voltages. 12 volts powers all the lighting ,water pumps, fridge and TV/hi-fi, while 230 volts is used for the washing machine, microwave and battery charger. There are also 2 spare sockets for a hair dryer and a vaccuum cleaner for instance. The 230 volt system isn't just limited to where a shore-line hook up is available, the inverter will provide adequate 230 volt power.
